- A corner anchor point is one whose direction points are coincident. Corner anchor points can be created using straight or curved segments.

- Select the Pen tool from the tool palette.

- Move the pointer onto the page and click.

- Move the pointer, then click again to create a straight segment.

- Click again to create another anchor point.

- Select the Pen tool from the tool palette.

- Drag to create an anchor point with direction lines.

- Move the pointer, then click to create another anchor point.

- Move the pointer again, then drag to create a third anchor point with direction lines.

- Creating a Corner Anchor Point on an Existing Path

- Step 1
- Select the Arrow tool, then click anywhere on a path.

- Click an anchor point on a curved segment.

- Option-double-click the anchor point to create a corner point.

- To make the direction lines collinear, position the pointer on the anchor point, then hold down the Option key and drag.

- • If you also hold down the Shift key after you begin to drag, the movement of the direction lines is constrained to 45-degree increments.
